After over 2 years off the road in
Australia, Pete Murray and his band have
finally announced a national tour.
Pete will be joined by his acclaimed band;
Andy Sylvio (drums),
Ben McCarthy (keys) and
Jonathan Zion (bass)
The tour will see Pete perform in all major
capital cities as well as an extensive
regional run and tickets will go on sale in
the very same week Pete's third album,
"Summer At Eureka", hits shops.
"Summer At Eureka" was written, recorded and
produced by Pete in his home studio in the
hinterland of Byron Bay. The first single,
You Pick Me Up is an up-tempo track
that reflects the sunny, laid back and
positive environment in which it was
recorded. In addition to his touring band,
Pete enlisted Powderfinger's Darren
Middleton to add his deft guitar
skills to the song.
You Pick Me Up is already bulleting
up the Australian airplay charts and is on
course to equal the chart topping radio
performance of previous Pete Murray classics
like So Beautiful, Better Days
and Opportunity.

return to the Australian shores this August.
The Academy Is... will join
Panic At The Disco as support on all dates.
Panic At The Disco's last Australian tour
saw all shows sell out in just minutes (as
folklore tells it, one show sold out in a
mere 12 seconds), cementing their place as
one of the world's most electrifying and
in-demand bands.
The last tour left fans thrilled and wanting
more, while critics raved about the band's
dynamic performances. Recent sold out shows
across Europe have produced similar
responses. Manchester Evening News
left their local show impressed, announcing
Panic At The Disco a "must see live act this

The Radiothon
Opening Party for 2008 returns to
Northbridge with a huge shebang from 8pm on
Saturday August 30 at The Bakery Artrage
Complex on James St, Northbridge. Get those
fancy dancing shoes ready for a night of
amazing live music and some pretty mad DJ
skills.
This year the
line up includes the triumphant return of
The Kuling Bros, fun time party action from
Boys Boys Boys, RTRFM favourite Diger
Rokwell in live mode, the electro wizardary/witchery
of The Voltaire Twins, and stunning
electronic sounds from Mia Sonos.
On the decks
will be a whole gamut of superstar DJs
coming along for the ride, including:
Perth’s first man of Drum n Bass Greg
Packer, Full Frequency techmeister Massiv
Trav, the inhouse lunacy of Trainwreck’s
Declan and Gonzo, Destination’s breakbeat

audience at New York's Madison Square
Gardens.

HYPER FESTIVAL 2008

Shopping Centre
Are you ready to go
Hyper- for the all ages music festival on
August 31st? This is a massive event run by
young people for young people. The 100% drug
and alcohol free event will be held at the
Midland Gate Double Storey Carpark. Huge
line-up includes Birds of Tokyo, Shihad,
Muph n Plutonic, The Getaway Plan, Tzu plus
heaps more. For more info on line-up see

The festival will have three extreme stages,
featuring hip-hop, punk/rock, DJs, MCS, beat
boxers, competitions, plus heaps more.
Last year, Hyper had a colossal turnout at
the Railway Workshops with bands such as
Butterfingers, Karnivool, Dallas Crane and
Downsyde performing. This year's festival is
expected to be even bigger, so make sure you
get your hands on some tickets early.
Tickets will be going on sale for $10 from
mid-July and more information about where
and how to get yours will be released soon.
