The film is inspired by Fazio’s experiences as a boxer growing up in Perth with a tough and passionate Italian father pushing him to succeed where he had failed. For the local Perth Nightcruiser Crew, one of the most striking elements was the familiar settings seen – Northbridge, Black Betty's, Mustang Bar, Embassy Ballroom, Luxe Bar, Clancy's Fish Pub Fremantle, Challenge Stadium, Burswood Entertainment Complex, Cottesloe beach and the Swan River among other unmistakably WA suburban scenes plus a famous Nightcruiser.** The fleet takes over Northbridge every week-end.
